Injection-molded plastic kit of the Bell AH-1F Cobra (1:72) from Hobby Boss — the American attack helicopter with a narrow fuselage derived from the Huey.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Bell AH-1F Cobra attack helicopter in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. The kit is molded in gray plastic, the fuselage halves are made with slide-mold technology with fine surface detail, and a clear part for the cockpit canopy is enclosed. The AH-1 is a single-engine attack helicopter with a strikingly narrow fuselage and a two-seat tandem cockpit (the gunner in front, the pilot higher up behind him).
The Bell AH-1 Cobra is an American attack helicopter created from the proven power plant, transmission and rotor of the Bell UH-1 Iroquois. The narrow fuselage reduces the frontal area and lowers vulnerability; the crew is a gunner and a pilot in tandem. The AH-1F version is the upgraded single-engine variant of the US Army, armed with a cannon in a nose turret, unguided rocket pods and anti-tank guided missiles on short stub wings.
Finish and paint the two-seat cockpit before you close up the fuselage — it is clearly visible through the narrow glazing. Use liquid cement on the plastic, mask the canopy and glue it with a glue for clear parts. Apply a primer before painting; both the army green and the desert scheme suit an airbrush. Paint the underwing stores and the nose turret separately and fit them at the very end; bring out the panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
