This set from the resin Brassin line by the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains a set of AIM-9M/L Sidewinder air-to-air guided missiles cast in high detail, complemented by fine photo-etched parts and decals. It is not a model of an aircraft, but detailed armament to complete one.
The AIM-9 Sidewinder is an American short-range infrared-guided missile, widespread in its L and M versions on a range of Western fighter aircraft. The resin castings replace the simpler plastic weapons from a base kit with a more faithful rendering of the body, the fins and the seeker head. The set is intended for models of fighters carrying this armament in 1:72 scale.
First wash the mold release agent off the parts. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay a filler primer onto the smooth resin before painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, without glue or paints.
