Injection-molded plastic kit of the German Arado Ar 66 trainer biplane in 1:72 scale from RS models, with a decal sheet for three marking options. It is a short-run kit intended for more experienced modelers. The box holds injection-molded plastic sprues, clear parts and decals; the exact contents depend on the particular boxing.
The Arado Ar 66 was a German trainer biplane of the early 1930s, powered by an Argus inverted V8 engine. It served as a basic and advanced trainer for pilot training and became one of the widely used German school aircraft of its day. Only later, during the Second World War, did some of the airframes also take on a combat role. This version represents the aircraft in its original training duty.
As with any short-run kit, expect to cut the parts carefully from the sprues, clean them up and dry-fit them before gluing. Glue the joints with thin cement for plastic; for small and clear parts cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) helps. On a biplane, take care to seat the upper wing and the struts precisely. Apply a gloss clear coat before the decals; pick one of the three schemes offered and tie the finish together with a light wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
