Responsibility details are not available.
This Eduard photo-etch detail set in 1:72 scale serves to sharpen a plastic model of the American Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress heavy bomber. It is not a kit or an aircraft model in its own right but a set of fine etched parts in thin metal sheet that replace simplified plastic components and give the model realistic detail. Working with photo-etch assumes experience, so the set is meant for advanced modelers.
The Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress is an American four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War. The G version is the most widely built and you recognize it by the chin turret under the nose, which added defensive fire against head-on fighter attacks. The Fortress was famous for its toughness and its heavy defensive armament and formed the backbone of daylight strategic bombing over Europe.
Separate the etched parts from the fret with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, not by twisting. Form the bends with a bending tool or tweezers along the marked score lines. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate), as cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Parts printed in color are not varnished; bare metal surfaces are painted to match the subject. On a large bomber photo-etch comes into play in many places, so work section by section and do not rush.
The package contains the etched parts only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
