Resin engines for the B-25 Mitchell in 1:72 scale from Quickboost — a precise detail accessory; it is not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Resin radial engines from Quickboost for the American twin-engine North American B-25 Mitchell bomber in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model, but a precise replacement part for more experienced modelers that replaces the simplified plastic engines from the kit with fine castings with a faithful arrangement of cylinders. The front rings of cylinders behind the propellers are clearly visible and faithful parts lift the impression of a finished model markedly.
The B-25 Mitchell was a medium twin-engine bomber deployed on every front of the Second World War. It was powered by two air-cooled radial engines whose front ring is conspicuous behind the propeller spinner. In plastic the engines tend to be molded flat and without fine lines. The resin replacement offers crisper shadow and more relief. The part is meant to refine an existing B-25 model in the same scale.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release residue from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a fine saw and clean up the surfaces; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. The engines come out once painted with a dark metal base and the cylinders brought out with a dry technique.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin accessory for completing a model. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
