Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the twin-engine medium bomber Martin B-26B Marauder in 1:72 scale. It is a Hobby 2000 boxing, which combines proven plastic moldings with quality decals from the Cartograf printing house and masks for the cockpit glazing. The release is aimed at machines of the Ninth Air Force used over the European theater.
The B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War from the Glenn L. Martin Company. The high wing loading of the slender wing made the Marauder a fast but initially demanding machine, which earned it the nickname Widow Maker among the crews. After the crews gained experience and the aircraft was modified, however, it joined the most reliable bombers, with one of the lowest loss rates per combat sortie. It was powered by a pair of Pratt & Whitney radial engines.
The extensive glazing of the cockpit and the nose calls for careful masking, and the masks supplied will speed the work up considerably. Finish the interior before the fuselage is closed up. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and sand the joints on the fuselage and the engine nacelles. Build a natural metal finish on a smooth base and apply the metallic paint last; lay the Cartograf decals onto a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
