This is not an aircraft model but a resin detail set of replacement landing gear wheels in 1:72 scale. The castings have a realistic flattening of the tire under load, a faithful tread pattern and crisp relief on the hub. The set reproduces wheels of the early type and is intended for models of the English Electric (BAC) Lightning interceptor in this scale.
The English Electric Lightning, later built under the BAC name, was a British supersonic interceptor with its characteristic arrangement of two engines stacked one above the other. It served as a fast-climbing interceptor of the Royal Air Force for several decades of the Cold War. The early type of wheel matches the earlier production batches of the machine.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before fitting them, check the diameter of the axle against the landing gear fork.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
