A set cast in resin that combines a flatbed baggage cart with a load of suitcases and bags. The manufacturer lists it among accessories for airplanes and helicopters, that is as equipment for the apron around a model of an aircraft. The suitcases can be stacked on the cart, or set out around it, or you can use only some of them and keep the rest for another scene.
Before container units took over at airports, baggage traveled out to the aircraft on open carts pulled in trains behind a tug. It was loaded by hand, piece by piece, and that is exactly why a scene played out around the machine that today's passenger knows only from the window: a chain of carts, a heap of suitcases of every size, and a few people handing them into the hold. For a model scene it is a rewarding motif, because it adds movement and a human dimension even to a perfectly painted airplane.
Suitcases come out best when each one gets a different shade and a different degree of wear. It pays to paint them while they are still on the sprue, where they are easy to handle, and to cut them off at the very end. The metal frame of the cart takes a darker base and drybrushed edges, and the platform then takes marks of abrasion. Seat the cart so that it stands level on all its wheels.
A model of an aircraft does not come with this set.
