Xtradecal 1:72 Battle of Britain 70th Anniversary 2010 Luftwaffe is a waterslide decal sheet with markings of German aircraft from the period of the Battle of Britain.
Responsibility details are not available.
A waterslide decal sheet in 1:72 scale issued for the seventieth anniversary of the Battle of Britain. This part is focused on the German aircraft used in 1940 and brings markings for particular machines. The sheet adds period national insignia, tactical markings and other lettering to models. The printing is sharp, with accurate register and a thin carrier film.
The Battle of Britain took place in 1940, when the Luftwaffe tried to win air superiority over Great Britain. It committed both fighters and bombers to the fighting, and their markings are of historical interest to modelers. The decals reproduce the period markings factually and serve to reconstruct particular machines from that period.
Coat the base under the decal with gloss varnish to prevent silvering. Let the decal soften in lukewarm water, slide it into place and press it down; decal softeners help. With larger insignia, watch the symmetry. Finally coat it with a matte or satin varnish.
This is a stand-alone decal sheet, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included.
