1:72 Belgian Lockheed C-130 Hercules 50 years in service- Farewell scheme

Decals C-130 Hercules - the Belgian farewell scheme 1:72 (Model Maker Decals)

A decal set in 1:72 scale bringing the commemorative farewell markings of the Lockheed C-130 Hercules transport aircraft for the occasion of 50 years of its service with the Belgian Air Force. It is an accessory sheet for a Hercules model, not a kit. The set makes it possible to build the machine in the effective jubilee camouflage that the aircraft carried at the close of its career.

The real subject

The Lockheed C-130 Hercules is a four-engined turboprop tactical transport aircraft, one of the most widespread machines in its category. The Belgian Air Force operated it for decades and accompanied its withdrawal from service with a commemorative finish recalling half a century of use.

Use

• Apply onto dried gloss varnish, which prevents silvering under the carrier of a decal.
• Soak the motif in lukewarm water and, once it releases, slide it into place and gently press the air and water out.
• Use decal softening and fixing solutions, so that large areas settle onto the curves of the fuselage.
• Once dry, even the surface out with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.

Who the set is for

The set will please collectors and modelers interested in the Belgian Air Force and in transport machines in special jubilee schemes. It suits the more advanced, who can cope with applying larger decals.

It is a decal accessory, not a kit. The paints, the varnish and the model are not included in the package.
