3D printed resin wheels with hubs for models of the Bell P-39Q Airacobra fighter in 1:72 scale from Eduard.
Responsibility details are not available.
It is not an aircraft kit but a detail set made by direct 3D printing (Eduard PRINT). It replaces the plastic wheels out of the box with faithful parts with a fine tire tread pattern, a rendered hub and a suggestion of load. The set is intended for models of the American Bell P-39Q Airacobra fighter.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter with an unusually placed engine behind the pilot and a nosewheel landing gear. The P-39Q variant was also delivered in quantity to the Soviet Air Force. Detailed wheels are among the features that most affect the overall realism of a model.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports and clean them up with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue. Apply a primer before painting; the tires come to life in a flat dark gray shade, and the hubs and loaded areas are picked out with a dark wash and a fine dust pigment.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
