This is a resin set made for the plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter in the E and F versions in 1:72 scale. The package replaces the wheels of the model with faithfully cast resin parts carrying a recessed tire tread pattern and defined hubs. Masking film is included, which makes it easier to paint the tire and the hub cleanly without the labor of cutting masks.
The Bf 109 was the basic German fighter of the Second World War, built in enormous numbers. The E and F versions were among the early and mid-development variants, with a Daimler-Benz V12 engine. The machines differed in details of the airframe and the landing gear according to the particular version.
Wash the wheels to remove any mold release agent and separate them from the casting blocks. Bond the cast tires with their recessed tread with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Stick the masking film onto the wheel, spray the tire, and once the mask is peeled off the hub is left cleanly bounded. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
