The Messerschmitt Bf 109F in 1:72 scale: a set of masks for suggesting the deflection of the control surfaces and ailerons optically.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aid thanks to which a finished fighter takes on the look of an aircraft ready for takeoff. It is not about cutting the movable parts out: a strip of the surface is covered, the surroundings are gone over with a deeper tone and the edge that arises works as a shadow along a hinged surface. Adapted to the small 1:72 proportion.
The F version, nicknamed Friedrich, is considered the cleanest form of the whole One-oh-nine in shape. The designers rounded the wing tips off, rid the horizontal tail of struts and retracted the tail wheel, so the airframe comes across as a single whole. A cannon firing through the axis of the propeller replaced the wing guns that had been taken away, which suited experienced shots, while less confident ones missed them. Friedrichs served over the English Channel, in North Africa and on the eastern front, and leading German pilots flew their victories on them.
The base must be cured and smooth; on a grainy surface the edge bleeds. Line the shape up with the hinge line, smooth the edges and release the paint in short bursts from a greater distance. Keep the saturation of the darker tone in check; a touch is enough. As soon as the coat has set, take the covering off at a small angle so that the edge stays sharp.
