Eduard 1:72 Bf 109F/G exhaust stacks are detailed 3D printed replacement stacks for building a Messerschmitt Bf 109 model in the F and G versions in 1:72 scale. This is neither an aircraft model nor a complete kit; it is a replacement detail part that takes the place of the exhaust stacks from the original plastic kit. Thanks to direct 3D printing the stacks have finely rendered hollow ends, which a solid plastic molding in such a small scale usually cannot capture. The result is a markedly more realistic detail on the engine section of the model.

Fitting and use

• After removing the parts, rinse them in lukewarm water with detergent and clean off the print resin residue
• Separate the stacks carefully from the print supports (the raft) with a sharp knife and sand down the small contact points
• Glue them with cyanoacrylate, which holds printed parts reliably
• Check the correct orientation of the left and right row of stacks before fitting them
• The hollow ends stand out once painted and the openings are picked out with a dark shade
