A resin set of exhausts for a model of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 G series fighter in 1:72 scale from Quickboost (Aires). The set replaces the plastic exhaust stubs with precisely cast resin parts with hollow outlets, which refine the sides of the engine cowling.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 of the G series was among the most widely built German fighters of the Second World War. It was powered by a liquid-cooled Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine with characteristic rows of exhaust stubs along the sides of the engine. The aircraft was built in many sub-versions.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, carefully separate them from the casting blocks and sand the marks down. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways when sanding resin. Apply a primer before painting and lay the paint down with an airbrush in thin coats. The hollow ends of the exhausts come alive once they are blackened and the traces of exhaust gases are lightly picked out.
This is not an airplane model but a resin accessory for more advanced modelers. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
