Blohm & Voss BV 40 in 1:72 scale is a plastic kit of the German unpowered glider fighter from Brengun.
Responsibility details are not available.
This small injection-molded plastic kit with photo-etched parts and a clear canopy captures the German BV 40 glider fighter of the end of the Second World War. The package contains plastic parts, a photo-etched fret and decals. It is a small model with a low part count.
The Blohm & Voss BV 40 was an unusual attempt at a simple unpowered glider fighter. It was to be towed by a fighter to a height above a formation of Allied bombers, from where the pilot would try to hit the enemy in a diving attack and then land in a glide. Its first flight took place in 1944, but the machine never reached combat and the project was canceled.
Thanks to the low part count it is a fairly quick build; glue the plastic with liquid cement and the photo-etched parts with super glue. The small clear canopy is best masked and painted carefully. Apply a primer before painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
