An accessory for building a model of the strategic bomber Boeing B-52 in 1:72 scale, not a kit. The masks are cut from kabuki paper and carry the designation EXPERT, that is the highest grade of the line BASIC, ADVANCED and EXPERT. With this brand the grade is the main distinguishing figure between sets with an identical name, so watch it when ordering.
On large aircraft masking does not end at the cockpit. It pays to mask the tires as well, so that the hub stays in the color of the airframe, and the covers of the lights and the guidance sensors, which would otherwise disappear under the camouflage. The order is simple: spray the lighter shade first, mask it and only then lay the darker surrounding area over it. The other way around works too, but the covering power of a dark color under a light one tends to be a problem.
Kabuki paper shapes well into gentle curves, but on a markedly doubly curved area do not stretch it by force — rather cut it into wedges and fold it over. Before finishing, press the mask down around its whole perimeter and go over it with a toothpick. Once sprayed, take it off while the finish is only dry to the touch, not fully cured.
The package holds only the masks. The kit, paints and glue are not included in it.
