A resin detail set containing two Bordkanone BK 3.7 cm aircraft cannon in 1:72 scale from Aires. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for improving a plastic kit. The set replaces the simplified parts from the box with precisely cast barrels and gun housings carrying fine relief.
The Bordkanone BK 3.7 was a German 37 mm aircraft cannon used in the Second World War. It was mounted in underwing pods on some combat aircraft, where it served above all for destroying armored vehicles. Its best-known use was on the anti-tank version of the Ju 87G dive bomber.
Wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and dry-fit them. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways while sanding resin. The thin barrels are fragile, so handle them with care; the detail comes out once painted with an airbrush and lightly brought up with a wash.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
