This resin detail set brings replacement wheels for models of the British twin-engine Bristol Beaufort Mk.I torpedo bomber in 1:72 scale. This is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces the wheels from the box with more faithful castings with a fine tire tread pattern and a well drawn hub. The wheels tend to be cast with a hint of load, that is a slightly flattened contact patch, so that once finished the model looks as though it were standing on the ground under its own weight.
It replaces the original plastic wheels and markedly raises the level of the landing gear, which is very much in view on a finished model. The parts are meant as a direct replacement, usually without the need for major modification.
Wash the parts first free of mold release agent residue (lukewarm water and a drop of dish soap). Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter and sand the surface. Attach them with super glue (cyanoacrylate), as ordinary plastic cement does not hold on resin. Use respiratory protection while sanding, as resin dust must not be breathed in.
The set contains resin parts only. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
