Responsibility details are not available.
It is not a kit of an aircraft, but an accessory. The resin set from the Czech maker Eduard contains the BRU-57A aircraft weapons rack in 1:72 scale. The rack is fitted between a hardpoint of the model and the weapon itself; check the number of pieces in the package and any attachment hardware beforehand against the illustration of the product and the manufacturer's data.
The BRU-57A is an American vertical twin rack that makes it possible to hang two precision-guided bombs on a single hardpoint instead of one. It appeared in service because modern aircraft carry mostly guided weapons: a twin rack doubles the number of targets that can be attacked on one sortie without having to take up further pylons. The rack is therefore typical equipment on upgraded tactical aircraft, and on a model it will be noticed by anyone who builds a machine in a ground-attack configuration.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent. On a small part in 1:72 scale, cut the casting blocks off carefully with a sharp knife or a saw and sand the remainder down, so that the seating surface is flat. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before gluing, try dry how the rack sits on the wing and whether a hung weapon does not clash with the undercarriage bay or the fuselage. Racks tend to be in a shade matching the underside of the airframe; once sprayed, bring them out with a fine dark wash into the engraved panel lines.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, weapons and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
