An injection-molded plastic kit of the BTR-3 wheeled armored personnel carrier in the BTR-3RK variant in 1:72 scale from ACE. It is a short-run kit that captures the eight-wheeled vehicle with a turret adapted as an anti-tank guided missile carrier. The package holds parts of the hull, the wheels, the turret and the weapon system.
The BTR-3 is a modern wheeled armored personnel carrier in an 8x8 layout intended to carry infantry and to give fire support. The BTR-3RK version is a specialized conversion carrying anti-tank guided missiles, with which it fills the role of a mobile means of fighting armored vehicles. The vehicle is part of a family of wheeled carriers operated in a number of countries.
As with short-run kits, expect to clean up the parts more carefully and possibly to dry-fit them. Use thin cement for plastic and finish the wheels and the chassis before painting. We recommend a primer, an airbrush and then washes and pigments to bring out the details and the dust deposits.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
