1:72 Buccaneer S.2B national insignias and stencils lets the British national markings and the small lettering be laid on in paint.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set makes it possible to create the national insignia and the small technical markings by spraying through a mask. The advantage tells mainly on large areas, where a decal film likes to ripple and takes on a different gloss from the surrounding finish. Intended for models released in 2020 in 1:72 scale.
After the Royal Navy retired its large aircraft carriers, land-based aviation took these machines over and stationed them mainly at Lossiemouth in Scotland. The crews, famous for practicing at ground level over valleys, regularly took part in international exercises in Nevada, where they were among the most feared opponents. The camouflage went through a development from naval gray and blue to later gray finishes, and with it the form of the roundels and lettering the machines carried changed as well.
The area under a mask must be perfectly smooth; any speck of dust is written into the outline. Lay the paint on in two or three misting coats and remove the mask shortly after it has set, while the coat is still slightly flexible. Pigment residue at an edge is evened out after drying with a damp cotton wad.
The set serves for painting; the aircraft itself is not included in it.
