An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary Lockheed C-130H Hercules transport aircraft in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. This is a new, modern mold and a genuinely sizeable model - a finished Hercules in 1:72 scale measures over forty centimeters. The set offers decals for several marking options. The model is supplied as a plastic casting; glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
The Lockheed C-130 Hercules is a four-engine turboprop transport aircraft, one of the most successful and longest-built military machines in history. Since the 1950s it has served dozens of countries to carry troops and cargo, for airborne operations, for supply and for humanitarian missions. Its high wing, sturdy landing gear and the cargo ramp in the tail let it operate even from short and unprepared surfaces. The C-130H version is among the most widespread and flies all over the world to this day.
With a large model a well thought out procedure pays off - prime the extensive areas of the wings and the fuselage and apply the paint with an airbrush, so that the finish is even. Paint the cockpit and any cargo compartment before closing the fuselage up. Use thin cement on the plastic; fill and sand the large fuselage joints carefully. Fit the four engine nacelles and the propellers accurately for the sake of symmetry. Because of the size and weight of the model, make sure the landing gear is cemented firmly. Pick the panel lines out with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
