Waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer Print Scale. This is not a kit, but a separate sheet that carries the complex mottled camouflage onto a finished model of the Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien. The pattern is printed as a decal, so the laborious masking and spraying of the mottled artwork is no longer needed. Version D represents a camouflage solution of its own within this series.
The Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien, Tony to the Allies, was a Japanese single-seat fighter of the Second World War. It was unusual for its liquid-cooled V engine and its slender fuselage, which gave it a silhouette close to the European fighters of the time.
A decal is dipped in lukewarm water for a few seconds, slid off the backing paper onto the model and its position is adjusted. Gently press the excess water out and use a decal softening solution so that it settles into the detail. The best result comes from a smooth, glossy base; once dry, the surface is unified with a matte or satin varnish.
These are separate waterslide decals. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
