1:72 Chengdu F-7 ADVANCED Kabuki Masks offer the middle extent of masking: to the glazing and the wheels they add the division of the frames and the seals.
Responsibility details are not available.
The ADVANCED variant stands between the basic and the full set. Besides the shaped parts for the cockpit cover, the other clear components and the wheels, it also deals with the division of the framing including the sealing strips, which resist tape the most in small scales. The result is a sharply separated transition between frame and glass.
The production F-7 grew out of license documentation handed over to China at the beginning of the 1960s. The prototype of the type first flew in 1966 and the machine was then made in many progressively improved forms. On the oldest versions the canopy of the cockpit hinged forward and during an emergency exit from the machine it served the pilot as a shield against the rush of air, and it is precisely this solution that makes the shape of the glazing so characteristic.
First stick the parts onto the areas of the frames, then stick the rest on and check against the light that no gap arises anywhere. Apply the paint at a right angle to the edge of the mask, otherwise it readily gets under it. It is a good idea to remove them before the coat of paint has aged completely; with a fresh layer everything goes more easily.
You obtain the aircraft itself and the paints separately; in this package there are only the masking sheets.
