Responsibility details are not available.
A collector's model of the Czechoslovak light pillbox LO vz. 36B in 1:72 scale from ROP o.s. The casting is made as a plaster body completed with resin parts and is set on a terrain base. The model is supplied to be glued and painted; it is a piece for collectors of fortifications and for diorama builders, better suited to more experienced modelers because of the work with resin.
The light object model 36 belonged to the first generation of Czechoslovak light fortifications built from 1936 on the threatened borders. Type B had two embrasures for machine guns and directed its fire mainly frontally against the attacker. These small pillboxes, popularly called Ropiks after the Directorate of Fortification Works (ROP), formed the forward line of defense in the turbulent year 1938.
First wash the resin and plaster parts and get the dust off them, cut the casting residue away carefully and bond them with super glue. Concrete can be imitated with a gray base and sand and greenish glazes; lay a wash in the recesses and bring out the edges with dry brushing. Finish the terrain with pigments, static grass and small vegetation for the faithful impression of a border landscape.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
