Responsibility details are not available.
The Curtiss P-40 was an American fighter that served out the first years of the war on practically every front, from North Africa to the Pacific. It was powered by an Allison V-1710 V12 engine, thanks to which the nose has a slender shape with a large radiator underneath it. The P-40K version was given a more powerful powerplant and with it an enlarged area of the vertical tail, so that the machine would hold its heading. In British and Allied designations the aircraft of this line were marked Kittyhawk Mk.III.
A masking set for a model in 1:72 scale. It saves the cutting of masks from tape, which with tiny glazing is slow and rarely comes out right at the first attempt. The items are cut to the shape of the parts, so the frame of the glazing has a sharp edge after spraying and the rest of the area stays clean. Which parts of the model the set covers and which kit it is cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The masks belong on the model before spraying, not after it. Wash and degrease the area first, as on a greasy surface the edge of the mask will not grip and the paint will run under it. Transfer the item with the tip of a knife or with tweezers, seat it dry and only then press it down, best with a stick all around the edge. Spray in several thin coats; one heavy coat will push against the edge of the mask and lift it. Take the mask off as soon as the paint is dry to the touch, and pull it off slowly and at an angle over the edge.
The masking set alone is supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
