The kit covers the Falcon 50, that is, the French long-range business jet with three jet engines. According to the name it is the form with winglets, that is, with the wingtip surfaces that reduce induced drag and are used on part of the fleet in service. Amodel builds on short runs, so with it you can get to subjects the large manufacturers do not cover, but the build calls for more hand work than an ordinary mass-produced kit.
The Falcon 50 is a long-range business jet with an unusual arrangement of three jet engines, in which the middle engine is housed in the rear fuselage and fed with air through an S-duct. It was precisely the three-engine concept that gave the aircraft the range and the ability to cross large stretches of water that the twin-engine machines of the day did not have. Besides private and corporate operators the type also served in government and state fleets. The wingtip surfaces appeared on part of the fleet as a later modification improving performance.
Start with a dry fit, mainly on the fuselage, on the seating of the wing and on the rear engine section, which is the most complex in shape on a three-engine layout. Reckon with filling and sanding the joints; on a civil aircraft with a smooth gloss finish, every imperfection is visible at once. Mask the glazing of the cockpit and the windows before painting. A gloss white base coat calls for a carefully prepared and dust-free surface; spray it in thin coats over a primer. The decals of civil schemes tend to be extensive, so apply a gloss intermediate coat for them and use a softener. Weathering on business jets is done only very sparingly.
