An imitation of a screw with a hexagon head in the 0.6 mm size. An accessory for detailing motorcycle models that replaces the detail merely suggested in a kit.

An imitation of a screw with a hexagon head in the 0.6 mm size, that is of the most common type of joint you will meet on a real machine. It is fitted on its own in the place of a detail that is only suggested in a kit.
On a motorcycle nothing is hidden under a hood. The frame, the engine covers, the mounting of the exhaust, the brake discs and the footpegs are all exposed, and the screwed joints on them are noticed even by a viewer who merely walks past the model. In a kit they tend to be suggested by a shallow relief, which largely disappears once the paint is sprayed. A separate element, by contrast, really does stand above the surface, has sharp edges and casts a shadow of its own, so it stays legible even under several layers of paint.
For builders of motorcycles and cars who are bothered by the difference between a real joint and a hint of one, and for dioramas, where a model is examined from close by. The figure of 0.6 mm is among the small sizes, so compare it on the part itself before drilling. A model, paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
