A set of self-adhesive masking templates 1:72 de Havilland Mosquito B.XVI from the manufacturer SX-Art. An accessory for the kit of the bomber version of the Mosquito, not the model itself.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks in 1:72 scale for the bomber version of the de Havilland Mosquito B.XVI. The masks are laid on the clear part and after spraying the framing of the glazing stays crisp and the glass clean. It is not a kit, but an accessory for a model. In 1:72 scale masking the framing is especially demanding, because it is thin and a mask cut out of tape is easily shifted.
The de Havilland Mosquito was a British twin-engine airplane of wooden construction that, thanks to its low weight and its pair of Merlin engines, reached speeds out of reach for most fighters of the day. The B.XVI version was the bomber form with a pressurized cabin for operations at high altitude; it carried no defensive armament and relied precisely on speed and height. Its recognition marks are the enlarged bomb bay with a bulged cover and the deeply glazed nose.
Wash the glazed nose in lukewarm soapy water before masking and let it dry. Carry the mask with tweezers and press it down with a toothpick, and on the curved nose work in small sections. Spray the framing first in the interior shade and only then in the exterior shade. On the wooden construction of the Mosquito do not overdo the panel lines, because the real surface was smooth and without rivets, so a restrained wash comes across more believably than prominent engraving. Peel the mask off slowly at a sharp angle.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
