1:72 deHavilland Vampire T.11 one-sided painting mask for Airfix

Art Scale 1:72 de Havilland Vampire T.11 - single-sided spray mask

A set of pre-cut masking templates in kabuki tape for a plastic model of the de Havilland Vampire T.11 in 1:72 scale. The masks are cut to fit a particular kit of this type and make it easy to spray the glazing frames of the two-seat cockpit and the wheels cleanly. The single-sided variant covers the outside of the canopy. The masks are cut for the Airfix kit.

How the mask works

• Numbered parts with instructions for accurate application.
• Kabuki tape follows the shape of the frames and does not let paint seep under.
• The wheel masks give a crisp transition between hub and tire.
• After spraying, the film comes off with no adhesive residue.

The real subject

The de Havilland Vampire T.11 was a British two-seat jet trainer with characteristic twin tail booms. It was derived from the first generations of the Vampire jet and served with the Royal Air Force above all in the 1950s for pilot training.

Who the mask is for

• Modelers who want to spray the glazing perfectly without painting the frames by hand.
• Builders who prefer pre-cut masks to ordinary tape.

The set contains masking films only. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
