A base with the motif of a destroyed T-34 tank in 1:72 scale, prepared as a diorama backdrop or a free-standing scene for a display case.
Responsibility details are not available.
The T-34 is among the most widespread Soviet medium tanks of the Second World War, and its wreck appears in dioramas from the first fighting right to the end of the war. A destroyed machine is a rewarding backdrop: it hints at what has happened in the scene and at the same time lets the main model stand out. The base carries exactly this motif and is executed in 1:72 scale.
In 1:72 scale a whole scene can be built over a small area, so it fits even into an ordinary display case or onto a shelf. You will use the base on its own as a plinth, or complete it with figures and hardware of the same scale for a larger whole. Try the arrangement out dry while you can still move the models about.
Wash and degrease the surface, cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the traces of manufacture down. With destroyed hardware, work with contrast: darken the bared metal and add rust to it, and lighten the surrounding terrain with a dry brush instead. The burnt places can be suggested with a black-brown shade and soot from pigments, and dust and churned mud suit the area around the tracks. The particular procedure for preparation is given by the manufacturer's instructions.
It suits modelers who build scenes in a small scale and want a finished setting without working on terrain themselves. Unless stated otherwise, do not reckon with the package holding further models, figures, paints or glue.
