A model of the British twin-engined light transport aircraft de Havilland DH.104 in its military Devon form, in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The de Havilland DH.104 is a British twin-engined light transport aircraft of postwar design with an all-metal fuselage, retractable landing gear with a nose wheel and a cabin for a small group of passengers. It was created as a replacement for the prewar biplane communications machines and proved itself well enough to serve with airlines, state administrations and air forces. The military version operated by the Royal Air Force carried the designation Devon and was used mainly for communications and transport duties.
The model is in 1:72 scale. Dry-fit the parts first and only then reach for the glue; with a twin-engined layout it pays to watch that both engine nacelles sit symmetrically and that the wing has the same angle on both sides. Cut off the excess material and the marks left by production with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest away. Fill and sand the seams on the fuselage and at the leading edges, because every irregularity shows clearly on a smooth metal surface.
Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Deal with the cabin interior and the glazing before you close the fuselage, after that you cannot get inside any more. Apply the paint in several thin coats. The recommended shades and color schemes are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
