An injection-molded plastic kit of the British four-engine de Havilland DH.91 Albatross aircraft in 1:72 from the Czech maker Valom. This variant captures a machine in military RAF service in the time of the Second World War. It is a short-run tooling for modelers with an interest in British aviation.
The de Havilland DH.91 Albatross was an elegant British four-engine transport and mail aircraft of the late 1930s with an aerodynamically clean wooden structure. After the outbreak of the war some machines were used for transport and liaison tasks in the service of the RAF, especially on routes across the Atlantic to neutral countries. Only a small number of the aircraft were built.
With a short-run tooling, count on more careful cleaning up of the parts and on filling the seams if needed. Glue the parts with a thin liquid cement for plastic and the fine parts with cyanoacrylate. Lay on a primer before finishing; spray the military camouflage scheme with an airbrush in thin coats and bring out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
