The Dornier Do 27 is a single-engined high-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear, designed to operate from short and unprepared strips. It came about in the 1950s as a liaison and multi-purpose machine and served both with armed forces and with civil operators; it was also built under license in Spain. The large glazed cabin is one of its most striking features, and that is why much more of the interior is visible on a model than on types with a narrow canopy.
The parts may be resin or plastic, so match the procedure to the material of the parts you find in the package. Wash resin castings in lukewarm soapy water first, to get rid of the mold release residue, otherwise the paint will not hold on them. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutting disc, level the surface with a file and sand wet rather than dry, with respiratory protection. Resin is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); plastic parts will also take ordinary modeling cement. Dry-fit the parts first and thin the fuselage walls down as needed, so that the halves can be glued without pressure. Spray the interior with a primer, then the base color, lift the detail with a dark wash and a dry brush, and finish the small instruments while you can still see them properly.
