The Douglas A-1 Skyraider (formerly designated AD) was a rugged single-seat piston carrier attack aircraft. Although it appeared at the close of the Second World War, it made its name in the Korean and above all the Vietnam War. It stood out for the enormous load of underwing armament it could carry, for long endurance over the battlefield and for the ability to support ground units precisely. The A-1H version was one of the later single-seat variants and could carry bombs, rockets and drop tanks.
Paint and highlight the cockpit before you close the fuselage and mask the clear canopy while spraying. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic. Assemble and arrange the stores (rocket pods, bombs) according to the option you choose - the rich armament is exactly what makes this model striking. Apply a primer, the colors with an airbrush, put the decals on over a gloss coat and bring out the engraved lines with a wash. Add wear in keeping with combat service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
