A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks in kabuki tape intended for spraying the camouflage scheme onto plastic models of the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk attack aircraft in the A-4B, A-4C, A-4E and A-4F versions in 1:72 scale. Unlike the BASIC and EXPERT sets, this one concentrates on masking the boundaries between the color fields of the camouflage rather than primarily on the glazing. It is not a kit but an aid for reproducing a particular finish.
The A-4 Skyhawk flew in many color schemes, from the classic gray and white naval combination to multi-color tactical camouflage. Cut masks make it possible to separate the individual color fields precisely without laborious tracing.
Lay the lighter colors on first, then add the darker fields following the masks. Press the masks down carefully so that paint cannot creep under them, and lay on thin coats. The set serves best together with the glazing masks from the BASIC or EXPERT version.
This is a masking set, not a model. Paints, glue and the kit are not included in the package.
