Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a classic piston-engine airliner in 1:72 scale from Heller. This model of a large four-engine aircraft has finely engraved panel lines and transparent parts for the windows and the flight deck. According to the manufacturer the box holds decals for two airlines. It is the only kit of this aircraft in its scale; the exact contents follow the particular boxing.
The Douglas DC-6 was an American piston-engine airliner of the late 1940s and the 1950s and one of the most successful machines of its era. The DC-6B was the purely passenger variant intended for long-haul routes and became known for its reliability and economy. The four radial engines gave the aircraft a good range; the DC-6B flew with a number of airlines around the world and many machines served for decades in the freight role as well.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the flight deck glazing and the windows before closing the fuselage, and mask the transparent parts. On the large smooth surfaces of the fuselage, careful filling and sanding of the seams pays off. Apply a primer before painting; spray the glossy airline finishes with an airbrush and lay on a gloss coat compatible with the paint used before the decals so that they settle well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
