Dutch General Dynamics F-16A Fighting Falcon Demo 1994 is a sheet of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the brand Model Maker. It is not a kit but an accessory for a finished, painted model. According to the name the set is aimed at the Dutch F-16A in the guise used for demonstration flying in 1994.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engined multirole combat aircraft; the A version denotes single-seat machines of the first generation. The Royal Netherlands Air Force was one of the European users of the type from its beginnings, and for public demonstrations it used machines in a more striking finish than the one carried by ordinary service examples. The exact form of the scheme cannot be determined from the name, so it is not described here.
With demonstration machines it often pays to close the work with a satin or semi-matte overcoat instead of a deeply matte one. A real aircraft in such a turnout tends to be freshly painted and looks glossy, whereas a heavy matte layer takes the liveliness out of its colors. Apply the overcoat thinly and in several passes, and only once the decals are completely dry - residual moisture under the film will show through the varnish as a milky haze. Before you let the overcoat onto the model, try it on an offcut of plastic, because every combination of paint and varnish reacts differently.
The decals are an accessory for a model. The model, the paints and the varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
