Wooden deck in 1:700 scale for a model of the battleship USS Missouri BB-63 for the Academy 14222A kit, in the finish set apart by the word blue in its name.
Responsibility details are not available.
The battleship Missouri, with the hull designation BB-63, belonged to the last generation of American battleships and became famous because the Japanese surrender was signed on her deck in September 1945. She serves as a museum ship to this day and is among the most frequently built ship models of all.
The set is a wooden deck part in 1:700 scale cut for the kit from the maker Academy with the manufacturer's part number 14222A. The word blue in the name sets this finish apart from the basic version for the same kit, so choose according to the shade of deck you want on the model. The material is wood, so the tone and the texture come from the part itself.
Before fixing it down, lay the part on dry and go over the outline around the turrets, barbettes and superstructure. Clean and degrease the plastic deck, or the edges will lift in time. Choose the glue and the procedure according to the manufacturer's instructions and apply it in a thin layer; any excess is drawn through the wood to the face and cannot be removed again. Cut the overhanging edge off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder.
For the modeler who is building Missouri in 1:700 scale and wants to solve the deck with material instead of paint. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
