The replacement wheels from Eduard's production are produced by direct three-dimensional printing, so the tire tread and the hub detail have sharper edges than the injection-molded parts from the kit. It is precisely the tire that tends to be the softest area of the whole model at small scales. The package contains the wheels only and brief instructions for fitting them.
The Grumman E-2C Hawkeye is an airborne early warning aircraft that takes off from the deck of aircraft carriers and keeps track of the air and surface situation over the group. The rotating disc above the fuselage hides the antenna, which successive modernizations replaced several times. Two turboprop engines provide the power, and the whole airframe is built for the catapult and for the arrestor wire.
Wash the printed parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let them dry. Cut the print supports off as close to the part as possible and sand the surface with fine paper. Never spray the tire pure black; a dark gray with a hint of dust looks more faithful at a small scale than black straight from the bottle.
The set contains printed resin parts and a brief sheet with the procedure. The kit, the paints and the glue have to be bought separately.
