Responsibility details are not available.
The set of pumpkins from Yamamoto Model Parts is a small scenic accessory, not a kit. Scale 1:24 matches car models, so the pumpkins will serve on the bed of a pickup, at a stall, in a farmyard or as decoration in front of a house. Details like these are exactly what give a diorama the season and the mood that a vehicle on its own never creates.
Pumpkins are a rewarding element because they carry color. In a scene dominated by the gray of concrete and soil, a few orange spots work as a natural guide for the eye. Scattered by a wheel of a car, stacked in a crate or dropped in the grass, they also suggest a harvest, a market or autumn holidays. The accessory can be combined with static grass, scatter materials and wooden crates.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry completely. Level the points of separation with fine sandpaper, working carefully on round shapes so that no flat surface appears. Paint thinly: primer, then an orange or yellow green shade and finally a light shading. Bring out the grooves on the fruit with a darker wash that runs into them, and lighten the highest points instead. The stalk tends to be flatter and gray green, and the contrast against the glossier skin gives the fruit its real look. Unify the surface with a satin varnish at the end.
This is a scenic accessory, not a kit. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
