Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is meant for a plastic model of the EH-101 Merlin multi-purpose helicopter. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the windows and the camouflage fields without slow hand-cutting of tape.
The EH-101 Merlin is a European three-engine multi-purpose helicopter used on maritime, transport and rescue duties. It has a roomy cabin with large windscreens and a row of windows in the fuselage, and it suits anti-submarine work as well as carrying troops and cargo. The number of glazed areas makes masking it a more demanding job than on a small machine.
Degrease the windscreens and the windows in the sides of the fuselage thoroughly. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them patiently on the individual fields, working systematically window by window. Fine-tune the corners and transitions with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin layers. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at an acute angle so as not to disturb the fresh layer.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
