Responsibility details are not available.
This product is a vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear canopy in 1:72 scale for a model of the North American F-100D Super Sabre from Rob Taurus. It is neither a model of an aircraft nor a kit, but a standalone clear part that replaces the production canopy and makes a cleaner, more faithful rendering of the cockpit possible.
The F-100 Super Sabre was an American supersonic fighter-bomber of the 1950s, historically the first US production combat aircraft able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. In the D version it served with the USAF for many years and was also committed in Southeast Asia.
A vacuum-formed canopy has thinner walls and higher clarity than an injection-molded part. It is cut out with a sharp knife along the engraved outline, the edges are sanded down to an exact fit, and for maximum transparency the part can be dipped in a gloss varnish. It is glued with PVA glue for canopies or with cyanoacrylate applied in the smallest possible amount.
This is a standalone accessory (a clear canopy), not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
