Responsibility details are not available.
This kit in 1:72 scale captures one of the best known aircraft with a variable-geometry wing. The F-111 could change the sweep of its wing according to the phase of flight, which made it a fast and at the same time long-ranging strike machine. The set offers the modernized D version and the definitive F strike type.
The F-111 Aardvark was a two-seat attack aircraft in which the crew sat side by side. Its main feature was the variable-geometry swing wing and the power of a pair of TF30 engines. Thanks to terrain-following radar it could fly low over the ground in any weather, by day and by night. The F version represented the definitive strike machine, while the D version gained modernized avionics. It served with the US Air Force from the late 1960s and was withdrawn in the 1990s.
Decide whether you will fix the wing in the spread or the swept position – both have their visual effect. Careful seating of the movable surfaces and a clean transition of the fuselage into the air intakes pay off. Opaque tactical schemes are typical of American service; a base coat and bringing out the panel lines are recommended.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
