A Quickboost resin detail set in 1:72 scale. It contains seamless air intakes for models of the F-14 Tomcat. The main advantage is an intake duct cast with no lengthwise dividing seam, which would otherwise have to be laboriously filled and sanded inside. The model is not included.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was an American carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing and massive angular intakes on the sides of the fuselage. The deep intake ducts are among the most demanding parts of the build, so a seamless casting simplifies it considerably.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the inside of the intakes before gluing them in, as access is limited once they are assembled.
The set contains resin parts only. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
