The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is among the most successful air superiority fighters ever built. The single-seat F-15C version brought a greater range, more modern avionics and the ability to carry a strong air-to-air armament. A pair of powerful engines and a large wing area give it exceptional agility and rate of climb; the type still serves with the American and with foreign air forces today.
Paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays before closing the fuselage. For the gray camouflage typical of air superiority fighters, an airbrush and fine shading of the panels are ideal. Finish the drop tanks and the missiles separately and fit them last. Apply a gloss clear coat before the decals and then unify the result with a matte overcoat.
