This photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard serves to refine the plastic model of the two-seat multirole F-16B Plus Fighting Falcon fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft but a set of fine metal parts that complete details hard to carry out in injection-molded plastic. Most often it enriches the cockpit and other small features of the model.
The F-16B is the two-seat combat trainer version of the multirole Fighting Falcon fighter with fly-by-wire controls. The Plus designation is usually associated with machines that have an extended dorsal fairing carrying further equipment. It keeps the high agility and the combat capability of the single-seater.
The parts are separated from the fret with a sharp knife, bent over an edge and bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Pre-printed color self-adhesive features are laid on without varnishing, while unpainted parts are sprayed together with the model. Tweezers, magnification and experience are needed.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a model of its own. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
