This Eduard set in 1:72 scale contains precisely die-cut self-adhesive painting masks for a plastic model of the American single-engine F-16CJ Block 50 Fighting Falcon fighter. It is neither a kit nor a standalone aircraft model but an aid for painting: the masks follow the framing of the bubble canopy and of the other glazing exactly, so you can spray crisp, straight frame lines without the slow business of laying down masking tape. Circular masks for the wheel rims are usually included.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is an American single-engine lightweight multirole fighter, one of the most widespread jet fighters in the world. The Block 50 version received a more powerful engine and modernized avionics; the machines designated CJ specialize in the suppression of enemy air defenses with anti-radiation missiles. The F-16 stands out for its agility and its versatility.
Lift the masks carefully off the backing film with tweezers or the point of a scalpel and press them onto the glazing so that they follow the shape of the frames. The clear areas stay covered and only the frame is left exposed. Spray the paint, ideally with an airbrush in thin coats, and take the masks off once it has dried. Wipe away any adhesive residue with a lightly dampened cloth.
The package contains die-cut masks only. The model, the paints and the glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
