An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern American Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II fighter in the conventional take-off and landing version, in 1:72 scale, in the markings of a US Air Force tactical fighter unit. Hasegawa is a long-established Japanese manufacturer known for accurate shapes and a finely engraved surface. The box makes it possible to build a static model of this fifth generation machine.
The F-35A Lightning II is a single-engine multirole fifth generation combat aircraft with an emphasis on reduced radar signature, advanced sensors and network connectivity. The A version is intended for conventional take-off and landing from concrete runways and forms the backbone of the fighter force of the United States and of a number of allied countries. It combines air superiority tasks with attack on ground targets.
For a clean stealth appearance, take care to fill the seams perfectly and to sand them finely. Use thin cement for plastic, a good primer and an airbrush. The low-visibility gray shades and the panel transitions come into their own after light shading and a matte final varnish. Mask the canopy and paint the interior before you close up the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
